Bodega del Abad is located in the fashionable Bierzo region of northwest Spain, made from the local Mencía grape variety, grown on high steep slate vineyards.
A supple, medium-bodied red with juicy, aromatic wild dark berries. Low tannins and fresh acidity alongside pure, peppery primary fruit make this a great value every day wine of real versatility which could even benefit from a slight chill before serving. Drink with charcuterie or grilled meats.
